The Etruscan Porta
all'Arco One of the best preserved Etruscan remains, it dates back to the 4th
century B.C. The upper section dates from Roman times, but the larger blocks belowe were part
of the original Etruscan city gate. Thanks to the alert local citizens who buried it in stones in 1944, keeping
the Nazi Army from blowing to stop
the advancing Allies.
