Our Provence Biking Adventure

Welcome to our Provence Photo Gallery!

We recently travelled to Provence with Van Gogh Tours on a biking adventure of a lifetime that we shared with several other enthusiastic cyclists! We took the "Van Gogh in Provence Tour" that included visits to the towns and cities where Van Gogh painted many of his works of art. We began in Avignon, home to the French Papacy in the 1300s, and then travelled onward to the quaint town of St. Remy and finally picturesque Arles. Along the way, we visited one of the last remaining intact Roman aquaducts, the Pont du Gard, a medieval abbey, the beautiful village of Les Baux with its sweeping views of the region & the mysterious and intriguing wildlife sanctuary, the Camargue. Enclosed on the following pages are photos we took along the way as we cycled through the lush countryside along quiet country lanes past vineyards, poppy fields, groves of olive trees and expansive rural country farms.  Each days ride concluded with comfortable accomodations in lovely small inns and hotels, a fantastic sampling of local Provencal cuisine, wonderful local wines and great conversation and camraderie with our new cycling friends!

Please sit back and enjoy the ride!
